DENVER, CO, Nov.13, 2008 -- Water professionals will learn how to assess water storage tank condition and adopt asset management maintenance programs during an American Water Works Association (AWWA) webcast taking place at 1 p.m. EST on December 10.
The webcast "Water Storage Tanks: Operations and Maintenance" will cover the components of an effective water storage tank condition assessment and comprehensive water storage tank asset management programs. Additional topics will include examining the pros and cons of traditional tank maintenance procurement methods, as well as asset management programs, and managing water quality within the water storage tank.
Webcast presenters include:
• Mark H. Johnson, P.E., Director of Metropolitan Water Operations and Maintenance at the Massachusetts Water Resources Authority (MWRA), who will provide operational experiences at the utility as examples. He has over 30 years experience in design, construction and operations.
• Randy L. Moore, Vice President, Sales, for the Northern Region at Utility Service Company Inc. (USCI), who has worked in the water industry specializing in potable water storage tanks for the last 24 years.
