• EIS addresses increased need for commission AMI education
RALEIGH, NC, Sept. 18, 2007 -- Elster Integrated Solutions (EIS), part of Elster Group, announces the appointment of Ed Gray as the vice president of Regulatory Affairs. Gray is responsible for establishing and maintaining a highly favorable regulatory environment for advanced metering solutions. In this capacity, Gray will work with utility regulatory staff and regulators to facilitate greater understanding of advanced metering infrastructure (AMI) technology.

Gray has broad experience in electric utility regulation, technical project management, research and development, international standards, and executive sales. Gray has 30 years of electric utility experience, 16 of which have been spent in the legislative and regulatory arena. Gray has held leadership positions at the National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA), Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI), Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC), and Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) prior to joining Elster Integrated Solutions. He holds a B.S. in Nuclear Science from the U.S. Naval Academy, and an M.S. in Nuclear Engineering from Ohio State University. He was a junior officer on two nuclear submarines in engineering and communications.
