ALBUQUERQUE, NM, Dec. 9, 2008 -- For the seventh consecutive year, UtiliPoint International is conducting a benchmarking study of North American electric, gas, and water utilities on how they perform customer service. These results will capture the current pulse of the utility industry on such areas as customer information systems (CIS), billing systems, outsourcing, and phone centers. This information will also serve as the basis for developing market share metrics for providers of customer care solutions.
By taking less than fifteen minutes to answer the questions associated with this study, UtiliPoint will provide utility respondents with one of the following complimentary gifts:
• CIS InfoGrid: The market for customer information systems (CIS) is comprised of vendors selling core enterprise systems focused primarily on customer-facing operations functions including, enrollment, account maintenance, order processing, product/service management, billing, credit and collection, and accounts receivable. Sophisticated and extensible CIS systems provide base data to other utility and energy company enterprise systems including work and field service management (WMS), outage management (OMS), energy management (EMS), and asset management systems. The CIS InfoGrid provides information on the CIS activities of electric, natural gas, and water utilities, and the vendors serve these utilities. Included are summaries of important announcements and news about companies' plans related to CIS.
• Utility Products and Services InfoGrid: The Utility Products and Services InfoGrid is organized by date and covers all types of services, products, and programs which electric utilities and energy companies are offering to residential, small business, commercial, and industrial customers. These include the more traditional types of services and products, as well as a broad variety of innovative and unique examples.
In addition, UtiliPoint will also provide each utility respondent with an executive summary of the study's results.
