DENVER, CO, Dec. 21, 2009 -- On Wednesday, January 27, the American Water Works Association (AWWA) and National Rural Water Association (NRWA) will host the Practical Steps to Reduce System Electric Costs Webcast. The webcast will present ways to most efficiently integrate water system load control practices with power supplier operations and pricing rules.
Webcast attendees will learn how electric power production and delivery impacts pricing schedules and principles, methods to reduce energy usage, how water system operations may be beneficially tailored to electric rate schedules, and specific types of energy conserving water system operations and present savings amounts.
The webcast presenter will be John E. Regnier, President of High Point Inc., and consultant for National Rural Water Association. Regnier has fifty years of experience in environmental engineering, with a BS in Chemistry, ME and PhD in Environmental Engineering.
