The American Concrete Pipe Association (ACPA) has announced that its new Chairman of the Board is Kurt Johnson, Vice President of Pipe and Precast at Geneva Pipe and Precast, a Northwest Pipe Company. Johnson was confirmed as Chairman during the ACPA’s Annual Convention held March 27-29.
Johnson is the 115th ACPA Chairman in the association’s 115-year history. As Chairman of the Board, Johnson leads the ACPA Executive Committee, which consists of five offices: Treasurer, Secretary, Vice Chair, Chair, and Immediate Past Chair. Johnson is serving his fourth year on the Executive Committee. He will serve a one-year term as Chairman, followed by one year as an Immediate Past Chair.
“I am honored to serve this esteemed and long-standing organization, which for more than a century has pulled our members together for the advancement of the industry,” says Johnson. “As we continue to navigate our way out of the pandemic, we will focus on where we can deliver the greatest influence and value to the industry and our stakeholders. With the opportunity the new infrastructure bill presents, an impressive ACPA staff, and a motivated member base, as an industry, we are poised to make an even more significant impact on the sustainability of the communities we serve and the resilience of the infrastructure we help build.”
