The Burnley Wastewater Treatment Works faced a £60 million expansion project that had to be completed quickly and efficiently while also keeping the plant operational. Using engineering software, the project teams managed and mapped data, aligned several construction operations, and oriented new employees to the area before they entered the site.
The advanced use of software earned this project a finalist position at Bentley’s Going Digital Awards event in 2022. In this interview with WaterWorld, Adam Robson, Regional Rehearsal Lead at MWH Treatment, discusses the project and the ways that it leveraged technology to meet tight budget and time constraints.
