Lift station

Pre-engineered package wastewater lift stations supplied by Romtec Utilities include the company's precast wet well with duplex Flygt submersible pumps. Pump mounting and discharge piping are fully integrated into the non-porous wet well base utilizing Flygt's TOP sump technology. The well is pre-cored for influent and discharge piping. Flygt's Safe Hatch access cover is built into the wet well top slab. Complete systems include Flygt's Multi-Trode liquid level control system and all Flygt pump accessories for efficient and reliable lift station operation. Pre-assembled valve vaults with plug and check valves, as well as UL Listed electrical control panels also are provided. The company offers free wastewater lift station sizing service to engineers and wastewater agencies.

Chlorine cylinder monitoring

The Chlor-Scale® 150 from Force Flow/Floquip makes it easy to track how much chlorine has been fed and how much remains in the cylinder. Both the SOLO® XT digital and Century® analog indicators use a hydraulic load cell for maximum durability. No external power source is needed for either one and both come with a five-year warranty. The PVC platform is not affected by environmental conditions that would rapidly corrode other scales made from metal. The scale is easy to operate. Load a full cylinder, attach any feed apparatus, and then simply turn the tare adjust knob until the scale reads 150 lbs.

Metal strainers

Hayward Industrial Products' Model 30R Pipeline Strainer removes dirt and debris from the process media as it courses through the line. The stainless steel strainer basket inside the cast iron strainer body traps unwanted particulate matter that otherwise could damage piping system components such as pumps, flow meters and valves. This leads to longer service life and less maintenance for these system components. The strainer features a special clamp-type cover that removes easily and quickly, without using special tools. The strainer basket shoulder rests upon a precisely machined seat to prevent unwanted material from bypassing the basket screen. Each unit comes equipped with a drain plug. Sizes fit pipelines from 11/2" to 8" with over 75 different perforated or mesh basket options available.

Pressure controllers

Battery powered PRV controllers from Radcom provide modulated control of pressure within two pre-set pressure limits. The maximum and minimum pressures are pre-set mechanically to ensure optimum reliability. The electronic controllers are able to proportionally adjust the regulated output to create pre-determined pressure profiles throughout a 24-hour day and offer different profiles for each day or weekday/weekend etc. Remote setting and operation are possible via modem. The system features an on-board alarm system with dial-out facility. The PRV output can be configured for fail safe operation, by configuring for "fail to high" pressure or "fail to low" pressure.

Vibration data collector

The Vibscanner® lightweight data collector features built-in sensors for 10 important machine parameters including vibration acceleration, displacement and velocity according to ISO standards. Shock Pulse for bearing damage and lubrication condition, pump cavitation, process parameters, inspection codes, temperature and RPM also are covered. Options for vibration spectrum and one or two plane balancing also are available. The unit is simple to operate with joystick navigation and crisp backlit graphic display. Collected measurement data can be trended, analyzed and archived with the Omnitrend® PC software.

Leak detection

Subsurface Leak Detection has announced the introduction of the new LD-12 "Professional's Plus" water leak detector. Similar to the previous LD-10 model, the LD-12 offers increased sensitivity and better sound quality. It features a large meter display of sound loudness to better pinpoint leaks during "ground miking," an On/Off switch to by-pass all filtering, and an On/Off switch to engage the "Limitter." With the Limitter switched on, no sound louder than 110 dB goes to the headphones, thereby protecting the user's hearing.

Double containment tanks

TolPlast's tank-in-a-tank design features a completely enclosed polyethylene double-wall construction. It prevents dust, rain and snow from collecting in the outer containment. The system provides versatility in terms of options and accessories including seismic tie-down restraints, OSHA-approved ladders, leak and level indicator sensors and side wall transition fittings. Metering injector

Blue-White Industries is introducing the all-new Flexflo® A-100NE Series Peristaltic Metering Injector. The new injector can receive 4-20mA, 0-10vDC and pulsed signal inputs for automatically adjusting the output of the injector. Additional features include extended tube life, high pressure capability, self-priming, even against line pressure, advanced cooling system, all ball bearing gear motor, and weather resistant housing.
