MILWAUKEE, May 21, 2002 -- To simplify the process of sizing, pricing and purchasing the right valves for an industrial valve nest water treatment system, Osmonics, Inc. (NYSE:OSM) introduces the Easy Nest™ valve nest kit.

By combining the individual components needed for a valve nest in a single package, original equipment manufacturers can reduce their parts inventories and simplify the component ordering process.

"Historically, customers have had to spend an excessive amount of time to determine the right configuration of valves needed in water treatment system designs," said Dick Elliott, vice president and general manager, Osmonics Household Water Group. "By creating the Easy Nest kit, we have simplified this process. Water treatment professionals can order most everything they need for a valve nest with a single part number."

With the new valve nest kit, selecting the right package is easy, since designers only need to know their tank size, service flow rate (for softeners) or backwash rate (for filter systems). A sizing table directs customers to the right valve nest kit for their applications. As a result, customers can specify, engineer and quote a complete system in minutes.

The Easy Nest valve nest kits can be tailored to single-tank filter and softener configurations and are available in composite or metal valve construction. Included in each nest kit are AquaMatic® diaphragm valves, an AquaMatic 962 electronic stager controller, pilot tubing, fittings, injector (for softeners) and recommended assembly drawings. The kits are available for tank sizes from 42 inches to 120 inches and for tanks with system service flow rates ranging from 150 gallons per minute (gpm) to 1,300 gpm.
