PASADENA, CA, Jan. 13, 2014 -- Parsons recently announced that Andrew C. Albrecht, senior vice president, has been elected president of its Water Design-Build Council (WDBC) for 2014.
Founded in 2006, the WDBC advances the development and rehabilitation of the nation's municipal water and wastewater systems through the use of the design-build and construction management-at-risk (CMAR) methods of project delivery. Albrecht previously served as the first vice president and treasurer of the WDBC.
"We congratulate Andy on his election as president of the Water Design-Build Council," stated Virginia Grebbien, Parsons group president. "He has a tremendous amount of experience in construction and construction management, and the council and its charter members will benefit greatly from his experience and insights."
Albrecht joined Parsons in 2005, and he has more than 25 years of hands-on construction management experience, including design-build and CMAR delivery. He currently leads the company's construction sales efforts, focusing on at-risk water and infrastructure pursuits throughout North America. Before joining the Parsons, Albrecht held a succession of senior management positions at one of the largest civil construction companies in the Pacific Northwest. He holds a bachelor's degree in financial administration from Central Washington University in Ellensburg, Wash.
