HIGHLAND PARK, IL, Jan. 23, 2006 -- The Submersible Wastewater Pump Association (SWPA) announced featured speakers at its upcoming 5th Annual Pumping Systems Training Seminar to be held March 13-14 at the Radisson Lord Baltimore Hotel in Baltimore, MD.
Dr. Robert Sanks, P.E., Ph.D., the editor of Pump Station Design and SWPA's senior technical consultant, highlights the program as keynote speaker on March 13. Also making presentations Monday are: Joe DeVenuto, Hayes Pump; Steve Doolitle, Zoeller Co.; Ernie Sturtz, P.E., DDE, CDM Inc.; Phil Landon, Val-Matic Valve & Mfg. Co.; Jim D'Angelo, Emerson Electric; Ron Koehne, Eagle Burgmann Industries LP; Arnie Sdano, Fairbanks Morse, and Stan Abelin, ITT Flygt; and Julian Atchia, SJE Rhombus Controls.
The keynote speaker on March 14 is Ernest C. Sturtz, P.E., DEE, CDM Inc., a civil engineer registered in Florida and Georgia specializing in hydraulics and application of pumping equipment for engineering projects with over 30 year's of experience including such complex and unique facilities as the 330-mgd mixed liquour pump station at Atlanta's R.M. Clayton WRF.
