Wessex Water provides sewerage services to 2.6 million customers covering over 3900 mi2 (10,000 km2) in the southwest of England, including the urban areas of Bath, Bournemouth, Bristol, and Poole. In urban areas, the situation is further exacerbated by sewer networks, where flows can both enter and exit the system during flood events.
