Arxada, a global specialty chemicals business, has merged with Troy Corporation, a global microbial control solutions company.
The combination was announced on Nov. 3 2021 and finished on Jan. 5 2022. Arxada hopes that the merge will create a comprehensive and innovative offering of its Microbial Control Solutions (‘MCS’) business, enabling the delivery of new solutions and value-added services to customers.
In addition to microbial control, Troy works in the field of industrial preservation with broad expertise in paints and coatings, wood protection and preservation, home and personal care, plastics and textiles, energy and metal working fluids.
Arxada will benefit from Troy’s technical expertise and broad portfolio of performance products. With the merge, Troy brings five production sites across the world, four Research and Development centers and approximately 650 employees.
The completion of the combination with Troy follows shortly after Arxada’s acquisition of Enviro Tech Chemical Services, a manufacturer of proprietary antimicrobial and biocidal products, announced on Dec. 23 2021.
