Radhika Fox, the U.S. EPA’s Assistant Administrator for Water, announced that she will depart the agency at the end of February 2024.
Fox had begun her work as Assistant Administrator in January 2021 after being appointed by President Joseph Biden. She leads EPA’s Office of Water.
Fox’s leadership directed the Office of Water through the water sector’s significant milestones over the last three years. This included implementation of the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, EPA’s PFAS Strategic Roadmap, the Get the Lead Out initiative and more.
“I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to work with the dedicated career staff at EPA,” said Radhika Fox in a LinkedIn post. “I am so thankful for President Biden’s leadership and the partnership with Administrator Regan. Together we have accomplished so much to ensure that every American can rely on clean and safe water. The partnerships we’ve established, the science-based regulations we’ve issued and the federal funding we’ve invested will benefit generations to come.”
Fox is the first woman of color to lead EPA’s Office of Water. She was also the first person of Asian American descent to lead the office.
