TEXAS -- Evoqua Water Technologies has been selected by the Magnolia Pointe Municipal Utility District (MUD), with assistance from their sales partner Environmental Improvements, Inc., to design, manufacture and install a new wastewater treatment plant located near the City of Josephine, Texas, a rapidly growing residential community.
The new wastewater plant will include Evoqua’s OMNIPAC® Field-Erected Sequencing Batch Reactor (SBR) system designed to treat 0.5 million gallon per day (MGD).
The OMNIPAC SBR system utilizes a DAVCO™ pre-engineered and factory-built steel circular tank design that includes Evoqua’s SBR process with Jet Tech technology. The design of this treatment system includes multiple SBR treatment basins with an equalization and digester basin in one circular structure. providing a timelier and less capital-intensive approach to wastewater treatment plant construction, reducing operational and maintenance costs.
Evoqua will work closely with DBI Engineers, Inc., on the design and construction of the wastewater treatment facility with an expected commissioning date of late 2020.
Evoqua's SBR systems with Jet Tech technology have helped municipalities and industries overcome wastewater challenges for over 35 years across 700 successful installations. Today, Evoqua's SBR systems are successfully treating wastewater in plants ranging from 0.01 MGD to 60 MGD. Evoqua's product experts provide process knowledge and expertise to deliver SBR systems that provide superior consistent performance, flexible design and simple operation under the most demanding wastewater treatment conditions.
